Get Josmar Inked!

This will be an ongoing contest wiki so you should start watching it to get updated when I change the tattoo idea. It won't be frequently as I don't often have spare money for a tattoo.

Ok, I know what I want as my first tattoo, I just don't trust any tattooists that I can afford to do a well enough job drawing it. So this contest is to seek out someone that can capture my idea, and whichever entry wins will be permanently tattooed onto my skin.

The Deadline

Current Deadline: None (I don't have a tattoo date yet so I am going to accept entries till the date is set).

The Idea

The first tattoo I have planned in my head is a combination of my love of my family and of Rubber Duckies. I want a line of rubber duckies with each one representing a member of my family (Me, Wife, Child, Child). The general idea I have is that each ducky should have some identifying things about it like the ducky representing me would have glasses and a tie (or something like that) just so each duck is semi-personalized. And it should really be traditional ducky yellow. One problem is that there are two different kind of duckies: Ones facing forward and ones facing slight to the left and I would prefer to have the ones that are facing slightly to the left so that their faces can be seen better.

Location

I am planning on having this one on the upper left of my chest in between my shoulder joint and the center of my chest.

Here is where you should place your entries separated by hr tags and with your name.

2011-08-04 [Alexi Ice]: I would guess that they would charge sixty per duck. At the least. You could get them done one at a time

2011-08-04 [Lord Josmar]: I know some do it per hour and some do it per tattoo. My wife got hers for a great deal because she babysat the person's kids for them a few times for free. She got two tattoos for like $80 together, and they look really good. Unfortunately they moved before we could talk to them about mine.

2011-08-04 [AuroraLumos]: My last one was around £80 (around $135) and he did a beautiful job on it :) drew it from scratch and everything. I'll be going up to see him again soon so he can do my 3rd one (when I work out what I want anyway)

2011-08-04 [AuroraLumos]: When you say you want the duckies to be semi personalised, what sort of thing do you mean? (I was thinking about something like the my little pony "cutie marks" but on rubber duckies. I'd just need to know what kinda thing you'd like on each ducky.)

2011-08-04 [Lord Josmar]: Well when I say personalized I mean something to separate the duckies from each other so that when someone looks at them they can see which one is for me or the wife or my kids.

2011-08-04 [Chel.]: ...such as?

2011-08-04 [Lord Josmar]: I gave an example in the idea section. They don't have to be specific exact representations or anything like that. Like have a little ball cap on the boy and a pretty hair bow on the girl, etc.

2011-08-04 [Chel.]: Isn't that a bit... idk... clishe considering you don't even know if your twins are going to be like that when they are older?
Why not something more simplistic/symbolic?

Also.... why the rubber ducks? :/ Combining a hobby and your family seems odd to me.

2011-08-04 [Lord Josmar]: I really like rubber duckies and the idea spawned from an alternate idea I had that didnt work out due to them being born by c-section. I dont know if my twins are going to stay the same gender? The personalizations arent specific, just a simple identifying object so people will know which ducky represents which family member.

2011-08-04 [Alexi Ice]: I will work on something for you darling

2011-08-04 [Chel.]: Have you thought about putting their initials/first names under or inside of the ducklings?

2011-08-04 [Lord Josmar]: That could be done as well, but I dont want just four plain duckies.

2011-08-04 [Chel.]: IMHO: Having rubber ducks with hats/ties/etc seems a bit short lived in terms of aesthetics. It also seems a bit...idk how to word it. It seems really immature/childish? But not in a good way-

2011-08-04 [Chel.]: I know it's your body and you can do whatever you want with it, I'm just trying to give artistic advice.

2011-08-04 [Lord Josmar]: Well the huge display of rubber duckies I have on top of my entertainment center may seem immature too but that doesnt mean im not going to brag about it. If you dont want to put hats and stuff on there then dont, I may end up liking it anyways.

2011-08-04 [Chel.]: Thing is... do you plan on having more children?

2011-08-04 [Chel.]:

2011-08-04 [Chel.]: Something like that is a bit more... classy

2011-08-04 [Lord Josmar]: We are undecided on the more children topic but if we do I plan on adding them to it.

2011-08-04 [Lord Josmar]: The first one I kinda like the way it looks, the swcond one not so much.

2011-08-04 [Chel.]: Symmetry would be broken if you had more kids. So don't have any more! XD
